We're seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Wellbeing Business Partner to support the Safer Communities and Corporate Services portfolios. This is a highly visible role where you'll partner with leaders to strengthen health, safety and wellbeing capability, manage risk and deliver practical, people-focused solutions.
Working primarily from the office, you'll regularly visit six sites using an organisation vehicle and build strong relationships with operational and corporate teams.
About the role
You'll provide expert advice and coaching while leading initiatives that improve safety performance and wellbeing outcomes. Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with leaders to build a positive safety culture.
- Managing the Health & Safety Management System.
- Leading incident investigations, risk assessments and audits.
- Supporting psychosocial risk, occupational violence and aggression, and vicarious trauma initiatives.
- Analysing safety data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
- Delivering engaging training and presentations.
- Providing expert advice on WHS legislation and compliance.
As a member of the Emergency Management Response Team, you'll participate in an on-call standby roster and must live within approximately 30 minutes of Lilydale.
About you, you'll bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline.
- Experience in a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Business Partner or Senior Advisor role.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, presentation and communication skills.
- Experience managing safety systems and conducting workplace investigations.
- ICAM Investigator qualification, or ICAM training with practical investigation experience, will be highly regarded.
- A collaborative, proactive approach with a passion for improving workplace safety.
