Operations Manager

We’re looking for a hands-on leader who can run day-to-day operations efficiently while driving continuous improvement, safety and service excellence across the state.

About the Role As the Operations Manager, you’ll oversee the safe and efficient movement of freight, managing a team of supervisors, drivers and warehouse personnel.
You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading operational performance and ensuring service delivery targets are met or exceeded.
• Managing fleet utilisation, scheduling and route optimisation.
• Driving a culture of safety, accountability and teamwork.
• Overseeing compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue and safety regulations.
• Working closely with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and enhance service.
• Managing budgets, KPIs and reporting operational performance to senior management.
• Leading change initiatives to improve productivity and operational systems.

About You You’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get involved. You’ve worked your way up in the transport game and understand what it takes to keep freight moving safely and on time.
You’ll bring:

• Proven experience in a senior operations or logistics management role.
• Strong knowledge of heavy vehicle operations, CoR and WHS requirements.
• A natural leadership style – firm, fair and respected by your team.
• Strong problem-solving and planning skills.
• The ability to balance customer expectations with operational realities.
• Required to complete pre-employment screening including medical, drug and alcohol testing and police check.
