This organisation is within the Victorian Emergency Services framework. Its workforce is in excess of 10,000 employees, from Technical Specialists to Corporate and Administrative Staff. Due to increased demand for its services, it is broadening its Injury Management Department and now seeks an experienced Administrator for a 6-month term and possibly beyond.
This role will see you manage the end-to-end process of WorkCover claims administration, including registration of new claims, collation of relevant documents to support new claims, forwarding new claims to the WorkCover Agent within relevant timeframes, issuing letters, and notifying injured workers of the status of the claim.
  • Calculate pre-injury average weekly earnings with the agent’s assistance with new claims.
  • Calculating weekly earnings for fortnightly payroll
  • Review and register Certificates of Capacity. Notify injured workers and/or practitioners when a Certificate of Capacity is invalid.
  • Review, reconcile and notify the payroll team to process weekly compensation payments and other associated WorkCover entitlements in line with the company's pay cycle.
  • Manage the WorkCover administration via the records management platforms.
  • Communicate professional and technical advice relating to WorkCover administration to staff, peers, managers, and providers using the appropriate medium, addressing the needs of different audiences and situations.
  • Provision of input into developing, evaluating and implementing the injury & Claims Management policy.
  • Active participation in safety culture change initiatives and projects
  • Regularly engage injured employees, line managers and workers' compensation service provision to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and organisational requirements.
