What does your next role look like?
In this role you will be the on-site Safety Advisor , which will include driving the strategic WHS agenda through your specialist advice and knowledge. Safety is the number 1 priority for this business, so they are needing someone to encourage and support a culture of safe work, and ensuring compliance with WHS regulations. So what else will you be responsible for?
Identifying, assessing and resolving key WHS issues at the site;
Coordinate the activities of the site safety committee;
Assist in the implementation of the annual WHS training and development plan;
Support the implementation of WHS action plans in order to improve site reduction of injuries;
Ensure that safety emergency response plans are developed, maintained, and rehearsed;
Conduct audits and risk assessments and integrate recommendations into the broader site strategic direction.
What ingredients do you need to be successful?
3-5 years’ experience within a safety role;
Relevant WHS qualification;
Experience within FMCG industry is desired;
Experience using a contractor management and safety reporting system;
An individual who has a Continuous Improvement mindset and is not afraid to challenge the norm;
Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the business;
Experience in completing audits;
Have a thorough working knowledge of the WHS Acts and Regulations as they apply within the State of NSW.
