About the role - 

This role requires knowledge of how workers compensation claims are managed in the state of NSW, both the legislation and the administrative arrangements (how claims managers operate).  The ideal candidate might also have some assurance/compliance skills.

You will be trained, supported, mentored and coached by the team in how they operate.

As well as checking claims processes you will also listen in on Case Managers as they talk with injured workers, for example.

  • Communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Work management – highly organised, time management skills, high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work within a team and autonomously
  • Customer service
 
Experience and Knowledge - 
  • Knowledge of NSW legislation, icare policies and guidelines.  Prefer two years of experience working in claims agent or similar
  • Understanding of internal control framework testing and monitoring;
  • Knowledge of claims agent systems
  • Computer skills: Outlook and knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
