About you - 


What you need to bring to the role apart from motivation, passion to make a difference and a collaborative/consultative mind set - 


Knowledge/understanding of OHS legislation
Minimum Certificate IV, ideally Diploma level in OHS related field

Intermediate IT skills; Word, Excel, Injury and  Safety Management Databases - (Quick Claim and Quick Safe would be fantastic)

Some form of knowledge or experience in food manufacturing, industrial settings, warehouses or logistics would be looked on favorably.

About the role - 

**This is an "entry level" role essentially**

12 Months Fixed Term

Be the first point of contact and coordinate and ensure the organisation is attending to their safety-related management.

Attend meetings, provide a level of ad-hoc reporting from time to time.

Provide support to line managers and provide them guidance in attending to their safety obligations.

Help the business investigate causes of incidents and injuries and develop and implement short and long term interventions.

Coordinate various hazard identification and mitigation activities.

Participate in risk assessments in consultation with other stakeholders.

Other safety-related activities as and when needed.

A level of interstate travel might be required, but is more an exception rather than the rule.
