Health and Safety Manager

We’re partnering with a large, highly respected healthcare organisation to appoint a Manager Health & Safety. This is a senior leadership role with real scope overseeing safety, risk, emergency management and workforce health across multiple sites.

You’ll report directly to the Executive Director and lead a small but capable team, with the mandate to strengthen safety performance and drive a proactive, organisation-wide safety culture.

What you’ll be responsible for:
  • Leading health & safety strategy, systems and compliance across the organisation
  • Driving incident prevention through data, audits and risk-based thinking
  • Overseeing emergency management, business continuity and security functions
  • Managing workplace injury and return-to-work programs
  • Influencing leaders and stakeholders to lift safety capability and accountability
  • Reporting at the executive and board level on performance, risks and initiatives

What we’re looking for:
  • Proven leadership experience in health & safety within a complex environment
  • Strong working knowledge of OHS legislation, risk management and audit processes
  • Experience leading incident investigations and driving corrective outcomes
  • Background in emergency management and/or business continuity (highly regarded)
  • Ability to influence, challenge, and partner with senior stakeholders
  • Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety or a related discipline
