The Opportunity
A well-established, privately owned civil contractor is looking to bring on a Quality Advisor to support a growing pipeline of infrastructure projects.

This is a genuine on-site role, not a desk job. You’ll be working shoulder-to-shoulder with project teams, making sure quality isn’t just a system but something that’s actually lived and delivered on site.

They’ve kept a tight grip on their values: look after their people, deliver work properly, and leave a positive mark on the communities they operate in.

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll act as the go-to person for quality across multiple projects, helping teams stay compliant, organised and ahead of issues.

Day to day, that includes:
  • Supporting delivery teams to meet QMS and ISO requirements
  • Reviewing ITPs and ensuring they’re practical and fit for purpose
  • Carrying out site inspections and internal audits
  • Managing NCRs and ensuring close-out actions are followed through
  • Reviewing quality records and project documentation for accuracy
  • Coaching teams on better ways to manage quality and prevent defects
  • Assisting with investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Working closely with engineers, supervisors and project managers
  • Identifying risks early and helping teams avoid rework
You’ll also play a broader role across SHEQ, supporting audits, systems and general compliance where needed.

What You’ll Bring
This role suits someone who knows civil projects and isn’t afraid to be visible on site.

You’ll likely have:
  • 3–5+ years in a quality-focused role within civil construction
  • A relevant engineering or construction-related qualification
  • May suit a Project/Site Engineer or Consultant Engineer looking for their next step and stable work
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO standards (9001, 45001, 14001)
  • Experience with audits, inspections and quality systems
  • The ability to influence crews and supervisors without overcomplicating things
  • Solid attention to detail, balanced with a practical mindset
  • Confidence in dealing with a range of stakeholders
Experience with online systems and Microsoft Office will be useful.
