Our client is seeking an experienced Health Safety & Wellbeing Partner to join their People Experience team on a full-time, 3-month contract. This role has been created to support the integration of recently merged operations while continuing to provide practical, high-quality health, safety and wellbeing support across a large, geographically dispersed workforce.

Working with a high degree of autonomy and supported by an experienced national Health Safety & Wellbeing team, HR Business Partners and local leaders, this position offers the opportunity to partner with leaders, strengthen safety systems and deliver meaningful improvements across health, safety, wellbeing and injury management.

This role combines operational partnering with continuous improvement activities and will see you:
  • Review workplace incidents and work with leaders to implement effective corrective actions.
  • Conduct psychosocial risk assessments and support leaders in managing psychosocial hazards.
  • Partner with operational leaders by attending leadership meetings and providing safety and injury management advice.
  • Support workers compensation and return to work activities in collaboration with the organisation's claims broker and HR team.
  • Assist with integrating two health and safety management systems following a recent organisational merger.
  • Review and improve WHS documentation, policies, procedures and reporting processes.
  • Support Health and Safety Representatives, emergency management activities and WHS committee participation.
  • Coach leaders to improve safety capability and strengthen risk management practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance organisational safety performance.
About You
  • Demonstrated experience in a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Business Partner or Senior WHS Advisor role.
  • Strong knowledge of NSW WHS legislation, psychosocial risk management and incident investigation.
  • Experience supporting workers compensation and return to work programs.
  • Proven ability to influence, coach and partner with leaders across multiple organisational levels.
  • Experience improving WHS management systems, policies and operational processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship management skills.
  • Experience within community services, healthcare, disability, government or other complex service environments will be highly regarded.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in WHS, Occupational Health, Psychology or a related discipline.
