Safety Training Manager | Agriculture | Regional Victoria

Our client is seeking an experienced Safety Training Manager to lead operational safety training and workforce competency across a large regional agricultural business.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working alongside operational teams, coaching safe work practices and building capability in the field. You'll partner with farm managers and employees to deliver practical training, verify competency and continually improve safety performance across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities
  • Deliver practical safety and operational training.
  • Assess and maintain workforce competency.
  • Coach leaders and employees in safe work practices.
  • Support incident investigations and promote continuous improvement.
  • Develop and review training materials and Safe Operating Procedures.
  • Travel regularly across regional farming operations.
About you

We're interested in people with practical operational experience who can build credibility with frontline teams.
You may have experience in:
  • Agriculture, horticulture, orchards, viticulture or farming
  • Farm or operations management
  • Agricultural machinery or mobile plant operations
  • WHS, safety or operational training
  • Manufacturing, logistics or another hands-on operational environment
You'll ideally have:
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent), or the willingness to obtain it
  • A qualification in Work Health and Safety or a related discipline
  • Experience delivering practical workplace training and competency assessments
  • Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and safe work practices
  • Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A current driver's licence and willingness to travel
