Psychosocial Wellbeing: Managing hazards through psychological safety

Psychosocial hazards are different- What is psychological safety and why so important- A simple framework for managing and mitigating psychosocial hazards We’ll talk about how psychosocial hazards are fundamentally different from physical hazards in the workplace, and why psychological safety is the foundation for the management and mitigation of these hazards. I’ll also share a simple five part framework for getting this under control in your organisation.

Presenter: Dr Peter Brace

Dr Peter Brace is a psychological safety consultant and co-founder and CEO of Human Capital Realisation. He helps organisations across the Asia-Pacific region to power their enterprise by empowering their people through improving psychological safety in their teams. His goal is to make every workplace a better place – for everyone.

He has broad and deep experience in customer relationship management, consulting, and project management. He has worked in a wide range of industries and organisations, helping some of Australia’s largest companies with their strategic direction, as well as working across the Asia-Pacific region for prominent multinational organisations.

He has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a PhD in philosophy, where he studied how emotions drive behaviour in complex social systems.
