Safety People Turns 20

This month we turn 20 years old, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to us!

So I thought I’d take a moment to reflect on the ride.

We actually started the Arnold Group in my lounge room at home.

A huge contrast from the corporate recruitment offices I’d worked in before.

Our first child Ella had just been born and maybe it was her encouraging banging, on the rickety old french doors in our little house, that motivated me to take our next step with the business.

We rented offices in Collins Street, Melbourne…A big risk at the time, but one that paid off.

The statement showed our commitment to the business and our company really kicked off.

There have been many changes across the years.

Technology, in particular, has transformed the way we do business.

I remember hand typing resumes in the early days.

And then running them up the street to hand deliver them to clients.

From time to time sending a fax when it made sense.

Now technology enables us to connect so many more clients with candidates than ever before.

This is why we continue to engage in new technologies regularly.

After our early successes in Melbourne, the word got out.

We grew to include Sydney and then Perth.

Ultimately becoming a National business and then with support of global partners, taking Safety People and the Arnold Group international.

And, of course the dedicated and hard working team members that have been with us across that time, and those who work along side us right now.

Each of you have had a significant hand in shaping the company and making it what it is today.

I want to take this moment to thank you all.

Throughout these 20 years, we’ve recruited across many sectors, always with a strong focus on Safety.

The conversation of Safety has evolved significantly across that time and continues to evolve today.

Looking to the future, our evolution continues along with this conversation.

Our Safety People Forums and Safety Industry Benchmark Report are just some ways we’re continuing the discussion and we appreciate all your participation in our events.

An the other side of the business, our Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) Programs are also helping companies establish strengths across a range of recruitment needs.

And if you’re wondering how this may help your business, we’d love to speak with you.

I’m excited about the future and as the world shifts around us, it’s good to know that we play an important part in it.

Here’s to another 20 years and to helping people just like you continue to shape the future of Safety, Risk, Injury Management and Workers Compensation.

Cheers!
